Mary (Harris) Smith

Mary Smith, 92, of Ransom, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from the home of her sister in Ransom, KY.  Born November 14, 1931 in Ransom, KY, she was the daughter of the late Roland Harris and Lassie Hatfield Harris McCoy. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Ratliff, a sister, Ruby Whitt, and two brothers, Lucas Harris and Bill Harris.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Victory in Jesus Church. 

Survivors include her devoted sister and caregivers, Daryl Smith and Doug Blackburn, special nephew, Shawn Blackburn, special nieces, Penny Whitt (Chuck) Mayes, Geri Williamson, Mary Edith Dotson, and Mary Church, and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Elder Mike Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery at McCarr, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home with services at 7:00 pm.
