Mary Jo Humphrey, 67, of Williamson, WV peacefully departed this life to join her Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from the Pikeville Medical Center. Born February 22, 1958 in South Williamson, KY, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Juanita Fife Humphrey.
Mary Jo enjoyed listening to Christian and Country music, reading, staying connected with friends, and being involved in her church. She was a graduate of Belfry High School and received her associates degree from Southern WV Community & Technical College. Despite her disability, she lived independently and was out and about in the town she loved. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many friends of Williamson who provided assistance, support, and friendship over the years so she could live independently.
Faith was of the upmost importance to Mary Jo. She was a member or attendee of several Williamson area churches including The Living Water Church, Williamson First Baptist Church, and Jacob's Well.
Survivors include her siblings and their children, James C. (Glenda) Humphrey Jr. of Rosedale, VA and their son Michael, Agnes (the late Donald) Tanner of Horseshoe Bay, TX and their son Robin, and Richard (Ruth) Humphrey of Elkins, WV and their daughters Beth Anne Humphrey and Madalyn (Clint) Higgins. Also surviving are 4 great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and her friends at the Williamson area churches that she attended.
