McArthur "Macky" Hatfield

McArthur “Macky” Hatfield, 77, of McCarr, KY passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born August 14, 1945 at Thacker, WV, he was the son of the late Jessie James Hatfield and Dollie Ratliff Hatfield.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Delores Ann Hatfield on October 9, 2022, and a brother, Jessie James Hatfield Jr.

Macky was a former coal miner and he also was skilled at various other jobs.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Church at Hatfield Bottom; Matewan, WV.

Survivors include a daughter, Jenny Ann Hatfield of Matewan, WV, his grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Dixon of Chattaroy, WV and Justin Hatfield of Matewan, WV, his great-grandchildren, Mattox Dixon, Axton Dixon, and Makenzi Grace Ann Dixon, his siblings, Barbara Cunnea of Polk City, FL, Larry Hatfield of North Carolina, Bonnie Mammo of Ashland, KY, and David Wesley Hatfield of Matewan, WV, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Cornerstone Church at Hatfield Bottom; Matewan, WV with Pastor Tom Whitt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hatfield Family Cemetery at Auburn Hollow; McCarr, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Monday evening at the Cornerstone Church with services to be held at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
