Nancy Marcum

Nancy Marcum, 75, of Ajax Bottom; Lenore, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born February 17, 1946 at Delbarton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Pearl Maynard Farley.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Larry Sheppard and Harlin “Geno” Sheppard Jr., 1 grandchild, Jonathan Sheppard, and several brothers.

Nancy worked at the Nolan Toll Booth and at the former Superbowl bowling alley in West Williamson.  She was of the Church of God faith. 

Survivors include her husband, Mose Marcum of Lenore, WV, her children, Jerry (Michell) Sheppard of Lenore, WV, Cindy (Travis) Newsome of Lenore, WV, and Dallas (Megyan) Stafford of North Carolina, 3 sisters, Sherry Graves, Dolly Anderson of Lenore, WV, and Ruby Stevens of Lenore, WV.  Also surviving is a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and others that she helped raise.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the Victory Christian Center at Lenore, WV with Pastor Terry Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Laurel Creek with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Friday at the church.
