Nina Gail (Lockard) Bishop

Nina Gail Bishop, 64, of Harrodsburg, KY formerly of Belfry, KY passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.  Born June 21, 1956 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Haskell and Ethel Frye Lockard.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Bishop, and a brother, Gary Dean Lockard. 

Nina and her late husband where the owners of the former B&L Gun & Pawn Shop of Belfry, KY.

Survivors include her children, Rodney Keith Robinette of Columbus, OH, Travis Bishop of Harrodsburg, KY, and Megan Bishop of Belfry, KY, her brothers and sisters, Jerry (Sheila) Lockard of Williamson, WV, Larry Lockard of Turkey Creek, KY, Nita Lester of Hardy, KY, Harold (Marsha) Lockard of Matewan, WV, Joann (Martin) Arteaga-Perez of Brooksville, FL, Goldie (Ryan) Huff of Matewan, WV, Haskel (Regina) Lockard of Belfry, KY, and Billy (Lisa) Lockard of Aflex, KY, her grandchildren, Beth Stump, Kristen Bishop, Tyler Bishop, Brandon Bishop, Charlie Robinette, Isaiah Robinette, Brandon Sheppard, Isabella Bishop, Adalynn Bishop, Ava Carr, and a special little fellow Ryker Buttery.

Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved very much.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Reed-Lockard Cemetery at Turkey Creek, KY with burial to follow.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Per Gov. Andy Beshear’s mandate, all funeral services in the Commonwealth of Kentucky must be private family only and with no more than 25 people.  Everyone must wear a mask or facial covering at all times and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
