Ona Jane (Horner) Mounts

Ona Jane Mounts, 78, of Springfield, OH formerly of Turkey Creek, KY passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Kettering Hospital – Main Campus in Dayton, OH.  Born June 25, 1946 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Nora Sartin Horner. 

Ona Jane formerly worked in the dietary department at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, KY and in the office for Tootsie Toys in Chicago, IL.  She was a member of the Urbana Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. 

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Willard Mounts Jr. of Springfield, OH, her son, Leslie Mounts of Springfield, OH, her brother, Elbert Lee Horner of Turkey Creek, KY, a niece, Kimberly Messer of Stonecoal, WV, a nephew, Michael Horner of Turkey Creek, KY, and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Pastor Michael Smith of the Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sartin Family Cemetery at Turkey Creek, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
