Penny Rosalie (Preece) Prince

Penny Rosalie Prince, 72, of Hatfield, KY passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Born June 14, 1949 at Turkey Creek, KY, she was the daughter of the late Monty and Vicie (Varney) Preece. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Maynard Williamson, three brothers, Monty Preece Jr., Homer Ray Preece, and Charles Preece, and one sister, Betty Jo Dingess.

Penny was a graduate of the Belfry High School Class of 1967.  She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. 

Survivors include her husband, Emmit Howard Prince of Hatfield, KY, two daughters, Tammy Young of Belfry, KY and Jamie Gail (Jeffrey) Arkhiom of Sydney, Australia, two step sons, Howard Lee (Joann) Prince of Aflex, KY and Brian Keith Prince of Bradenton, FL, three brothers, Tommy (Eleanor) Preece of Turkey Creek, KY, Eugene (Denise) Preece of Turkey Creek, KY, and George (Becky) Preece of Lexington, KY, five sisters, Rebecca Francis of Hatfield, KY, Elva Fouch of Slaters Branch, KY, Flora Chafins of Lexington, KY, Lillie Marcum of Huntington, WV, and Wanda (Joe) Varney of Canada, KY, her grandchildren, Bruce (Brandi) Young, Kasey (Buddy) Young, Coty Williamson, Paige Williamson, Kaylea Arkhiom, JaiLynn Arkhiom, and Abigail Rose Arkhiom, two great grandchildren, Maci Williamson and Deacon Williamson, a special nephew, James (Karen) Francis and their son Jr. Mounts of Hatfield, KY, a special friend, Danny Swafford of Chattaroy, WV, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Justin Holbrook officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with Bruce Young, Coty Williamson, Jr. Mounts, James Francis, and Danny Swafford serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
