Randall “Boo Boo” Chapman, 61, of Hardy, KY passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born September 13, 1960 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Tilden and Eliza Ellen (Bryant) Chapman.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Donnie, Phillip, Gary, and Russell Chapman, and two sisters, Jennifer Moore and Norene Chapman.
Boo Boo was a former coal miner, specifically a roof bolter, and lastly worked for Excel Mining. He was of the Protestant faith. He couldn’t just sit. He had to be moving around or doing something. He always looked out for and tried to help others.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pamela (Johnson) Chapman of Hardy, KY; his daughters, Kayla (J.C.) Harrison of Hardy, KY and Whitney Chapman of Hardy, KY; two brothers, Benny (Sandy) Chapman of Louisa, KY and Larry Chapman of Millfield, OH; three sisters, Gloria (Earl) Adkins of Ypsilanti, MI, Sherry Sesco of Rockhouse, KY, and Beverly (Keith) Burgess of Hardy, KY; one grandson who was papaw’s bestest boy, John Randon Harrison; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Johnson of Hardy, KY; a special brother-in-law, Mark Johnson of Aflex, KY; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY. Burial will follow in the Chapman Family Cemetery at Mudlick; Hardy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
