Reba (Roberts) Blankenship

Reba Blankenship, 84, of Williamson, WV passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born December 12, 1939 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mae (Whitt) Roberts.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Blankenship, son, Woodrow Blankenship Jr., brothers, Earl, Claude, Lloyd, Buster, and Junior Roberts, and sisters, Nancy and Marie (Merle) Jackson. 

Reba was a homemaker and of the Jesus Only faith. 

Survivors include her daughters, Hattie (Ronnie) Lester of Phelps, KY, Brenda Smith (Joe Young) of Flatwoods, KY, Bernice (Grover) Mahon of Beech Creek, WV, Darlene Miller of Huntington, WV, and Janice (David) Kolb of California, a special granddaughter whom she thought of as a daughter, Pamela Thomas, special nieces, Kathy Roberts of TN and Jeanie (Kevin) Allen of Phelps, KY, special friend, Jimmy Meade of Red Jacket, WV, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She will be missed by a host of family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Lowell Sparks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sowards & Roberts Cemetery at Phelps, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
