Robert "Bobby" Goad

Robert “Bobby” Goad, 73, of Beech Creek, WV passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born November 11, 1948 at O’Keefe, WV, he was the son of the late Richard and Lula (Blankenship) Goad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Ashley Grace Goad and her son, Kenneth Dale Sipple, brothers, Elmer “Pete”, Carl, Harold, Eugene, Lawrence, Jack, Roy, James, and Quintin Goad, sisters, Winifred Hatfield, Joy Duty, Jean Bates, Liza Hatfield, Lottie Mahon, and June Bailey, and his beloved rottweiler, Rex.

Bobby was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army, a 28 year coal miner at Old Ben Coal Company, and a proud member of the UMWA Local 1440 for over 51 years.

His favorite thing to do was being home and setting in his recliner with his three beloved babies, Nikki, Princess Bri, and his boy Rex.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sue (Murphy) Goad, sons, Wilson and his wife Angie Goad of New Iberia, LA and Shawn and Wendy Goad of Comfort, WV; his beloved grandchildren, Alecia and her husband Dillon Meadows of Charleston, WV, Amon and his wife Alexia Goad of New Iberia, LA, Ayden Goad and Shawna Goad both of Comfort, WV; one great-grandson, Hunter Goad of New Iberia, LA; brothers, Jimmy Dale (Georgia) Goad of Beech Creek and Fred (Reba) Goad of Columbus, OH; sisters, Faye Goad of Beech Creek and Grethel (Ronald) Parker of TN; a special family friend, Jeff Cisco of Beech Creek, and a host of other family and friends.

In honoring Bobby’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
