Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Blackburn, 74, of Williamson, WV passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born February 28, 1950 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late G.R. and Sally Roberts Blackburn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special uncle, Jay Roberts.
Ronnie retired after approximately 39 years of service with the N&S Railroad where he served as a general foreman and wreck master. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
A devoted family man, Ronnie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching westerns, and going on cruises with friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Nina Blackburn of Williamson, WV, a son, Chad Blackburn of Williamson, WV, a daughter, Rhonda (John) Fraley of South Williamson, KY, a granddaughter, Cierra Fraley of Williamson, WV, a brother, David Blackburn of Inverness, FL, and a host of really close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Dale Carey officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
