Rosa Lea (Hite) Hill, 83, of Red Jacket, WV passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Born September 25, 1937 in Matewan, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Garfield and Roxie (Hignite) Hite.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Michael David Hill, her daughter, Barbara Jean (Hill) Gooslin, 2 infant sons, her brothers, Donald Hite, Sherman Hite, Homer Hite, Jim Hite, Glenn Hite, and Robert Hite, and her sisters, Rhoda Perkins, Annie Holbrook, Mary Justice, and Vernie Perkins, and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Renee Brewer.
Rosa Lea was a homemaker.
Those left to mourn her passing include her husband of 65 years, Freeman Eugene Hill, 2 sisters, Ida Mae (Ed) Williams and Linda (Jimmy) Vance, 1 brother, Earl Hite, her grandchildren, Rose Anna (Matt) Eblen, Steve Gooslin II, Jeremy (Ashley) Hill, Matthew Gooslin, Lindsay Hill, and Kyla Hill, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Lowell Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Family Cemetery on Grapevine Fork at Beech Creek, WV with family serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home where a service will be held at 7:00 pm.
