Ruby Pearl Hatfield, 87, of Hardy, KY passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Landmark of Elkhorn City Nursing Center at Elkhorn City, KY. Born August 11, 1932 at Lookout, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Roxie Raines Adkins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hatfield, a son, Paul Randall Hatfield, a grandson, Gregory Shawn Hatfield, her brothers, Jr., Willie, Brad, Clyde, Vinton, and Ray Adkins, and sisters, Durie Martin and Imal May.
Ruby was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Lee (Colleen) Hatfield of Dandridge, TN, Gregory Keith (Debbie) Hatfield of Hardy, KY, and Eddie Bruce (Connie) Hatfield of Hardy, KY; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Hatfield of Zebulon, KY; her grandchildren, Mitchell (Krystel) Hatfield, Michelle (Chris) Perry, Misty Dawn Hatfield, Joshua Bruce (Jenna) Hatfield, and Krista Lynn Hatfield; her great-grandchildren, Zeke and Sophie Hatfield, Dylan and Cole Perry, Makenzie Shawn Smith, John Thomas Hatfield, Quentin Shawn Hatfield, Ryan Aliah Tre Hatfield, and Joshua James Doyle Hatfield. Also surviving is a host of other extended family and friends.
In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, a private family viewing was held from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the funeral home chapel, after which a procession departed to the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY where graveside service and burial took place with Bro. Ed Lockard officiating.
