Sally Lynn Miller born at home in McVeigh, Kentucky, on February 3, 1950, the last of eight children born to John E. and Mable Catron Miller. Sally died in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 10, 2023, at the age of 73, following a long battle with COPD and extreme heart issues.
Sally was preceded in death by her loving parents; sisters Mary Lavelle (Raymond) Coleman, Johnie Mae (Luther) Hatfield, Margaret Ann (Edward) Marincil, and Martha Louise (Otis) Brooks; and brothers James Edward (Esther Jones) Miller and Coker Milton (Hope Vail) Miller.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Miller, grandson Alec (Amber Hatfield) Bevins (son of Casey Bevins), granddaughters Isabella and Lily Dingess (daughters of Daniel Dingess), great-grandson Elias Bevins, brother JC (Nancy Baker) Miller, her dear friend of 35 years, Judy Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sally was a long-time member of McVeigh Baptist Church and she loved her home and family. Sally’s last pleasures in life were hearing from and visiting with her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Kentucky, at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 21, 2023, with visitation preceding the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
