Shania Marie (Dempsey) Estepp

Shania Marie Dempsey Estepp, 29, of Chattaroy, WV passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Belfry, KY.  Born January 12, 1996 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of Gary Dempsey and Penny Dillon-Avila. 

Shania was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edgar and Patricia McWaters Dillon.

She was an ambulance driver for STAT Ambulance Service. 

Survivors include her parents, Penny Dillon (Jaime) Avila of Chattaroy, WV and Gary (Jill) Dempsey of Duncan Fork, WV, two children, Chrislynn Estepp and Selena Estepp both of Chattaroy, WV, the father of her children, Christopher Estepp of Chattaroy, WV, four sisters, Aislinn Dempsey (Michael Ianucci) of Pittsburgh, PA, Sasha (Chris) Endicott of Inez, KY, Sabrina Vance of Duncan Fork, WV, and Miranda (Ernest) Jewell of Laurel Creek, WV, three brothers, Kenny (Mackenzie) Allen of Alum Creek, WV, Timothy (Claudia) Dempsey of Laurel Creek, WV, and Jaime (llania) Avila Mendoza, her paternal grandparents, John B. and Jannie Dempsey of Duncan Fork, WV, a special great grandmother, Maria De La Paz Arazola Rodriguez of Vera Cruz, Mexico, a special friend, Teresa Elkins of Belfry, KY, and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. Gary Dove officiating and full EMS honors.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with Jaime Avila-Rodriguez, Gary Dempsey, Kenny Allen, Tyler Salyers, Chris Estepp, and Cody Dempsey serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Dillon, Jonathan Dillon, Camden Dillon, Oliver Maynard, Michael Iannucci, Terry Dillon, and Ricky Collins. 

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
