Shelby Jean Maynard, 86, of Burnwell, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY. Born September 25, 1938 at Hatfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thelman D. and Ella Elizabeth Maynard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Maynard, a sister, Wanda Ruth McCoy, and a niece, Patty Stanley.
She formerly worked at Stewart's Drive Inn and was an in-home caregiver for several area residents. She was a member of the Gospel Revelation Tabernacle Church at Burnwell, KY.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Charles Delbert McCoy, her nieces, Vickie Maynard, Judy Runyon, Sandy Bowen, Jeannie McCoy, Pamela Smith, Tammy Davis, Brenda Stanley, Joyce Rose, and Wendy McCoy, her nephews, Randy McCoy, Rick Maynard, Tim Maynard, Bobby Maynard, and David Maynard, a special friend, Mary Thompson. She will be missed by a host of family and friends.
A special thank you to Dr. Beckett and his staff and the staff of ARH for taking good care of her and loving her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. Rex Salmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Stepp Cemetery at Hatfield, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home with services at 7:00 pm with Bro. Mikey Helvey officiating.
