Sue Gaye Davis Keesee, 90, of Sand Lake MI, formerly of Belfry, KY passed away January 26, 2025 Surrounded by family. Sue was born January 8, 1935 in McVeigh KY to Hazel (Floyd) & Woodrow Davis.
Sue was a retired bookkeeper that stayed busy after her retirement with various endeavors. She was the Treasurer for the Tug Valley ARH Ladies Auxiliary. As a cancer survivor, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for many years. She was also involved with the March of Dimes March for babies.
She married Wood R. Keesee and they had 3 children together. They made their home in Belfry, KY for many years where friends & family were always welcome.
Sue was preceded in death by her mother Hazel French, father Woodrow Davis, & loving stepfather William French, maternal grandparents, Roma (Dotson) & Rufus Floyd, son, Ray Keesee III, grandson “Hank” Keesee, former husband Wood R Keesee II, Daughters-in-Law Angie (Henry) Keesee, Leisa Keesee
Sue is survived by her son, Terrance Keesee of Clintwood, VA & daughter Katie (Brian) Clark of Sand Lake, MI, Daughter in law Hazel (Gary) Fugate, grandchildren Will (Rachel) Keesee, Josh Fugate, Olivia Keesee, Alexis Keesee, Brianna Clark, Isabella Clark, great grandchildren Iyla Sue Bishop, Ray Wolf Keesee, Raylynn Fugate. Her brother, Gary (Ginny) Davis, nephews Brad Davis, Gary M. Davis & Paul Price.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday; May 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 411 Prichard Street, Williamson, WV with Fr. Nick England officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 12:00 pm Saturday at the church.
