Tammy Marlene (Marcum) Dove

Tammy Marlene Dove, 64, of Williamson, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday; October 20, 2025 at her home.  Born January 2, 1961 in South Williamson, KY, she was the daughter of the late Laddie and Fannie Fletcher Marcum. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolly and Rachel. 

Tammy retired as an autism teacher’s aide from the Mingo County Board of Education. In addition to her teaching degree, she also had a degree in phlebotomy and her CNA certification.  She was a member of the West End Freewill Baptist Church in West Williamson, WV.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Gary Dove of Williamson, WV; her children, Brian Travis Dove of Williamson, WV, Natashia (Jonathan) Duty of Freeburn, KY, Jonathan (April) Dove of Ragland, WV, and Sydney (Dakota) Shrum of Williamson, WV; her grandbabies, Traven Dove, Emylou Dove, Pepper Dove, Garrett Duty, Gavin Dove, and Waylon Shrum who is due in December; one brother, Ran Marcum of Hatfield, KY; two sisters, Sue Kidwell and Pearly Louise (Ray) Armentrout both of Circleville, OH; an adopted family, Chris, Terri, and Grayson Bishop of Williamson, WV; and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday; October 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Earl White and Bro. Harrison Baisden officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
