Thelma Jo Plumb, loving mother and grandmother, 79, of Ransom, KY passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. Born September 17, 1945 in Mingo County, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Lee and Erna Mae Varney Diamond Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Plumb, a brother, Larry Diamond, and a sister, Wanda Finley.
She was the owner and operator of the former Little Brothers restaurant in the Southside Mall for many years.
Survivors include her sons, Jackie Plumb of Ransom, KY and John (Rosie) Plumb of Merrimac, WV, one brother, Douglas (Vicki) Diamond of Fort Gay, WV, two grandchildren, Hope (Josh) Dingess and Zachary Tyler Plumb, three great grandchildren, Brycen Dingess, Jonah Dingess, and Callie Grace Dingess, and others that she considered her grandchildren, nephews, Bobby (Teresa) Smith and their son Jonathan and Kevin Diamond, nieces, Tracia Lynn Smith and Kim (Clarence) Whitt, and a host of friends.
In honoring Thelma Jo’s wishes, no funeral will be held. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY. A graveside service and burial will follow the visitation at the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with Josh Dingess speaking.
