Timothy Ivan Goan

Timothy Ivan Goan, 62, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Reginal Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born September 30, 1959 in Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Edward Franklin and Francis Carol McKinney Goan.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Christian Victor Goan, a sister, Kathy Lynn Goan, and an aunt, Betty McKinney Jude.

Tim was a former employee for Sprouse Creek driving 350 pay haulers and was a long time caretaker at the Twisted Gun Golf Course.  He was very intelligent being very savvy in IT and electronics.  He was also a member of the WV Chess Club.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie McIntosh Goan of Red Jacket, WV, a sister, Sheri Robin Goan of Raeford, NC, a stepdaughter, Lora (Billy) Hatfield of Meador, WV, a stepson, Frank Coleman Jr. (June Hofilena) of Long Beach, CA, 4 grandchildren, Johnny Hatfield, Sarah Stacey, Sydney Rose Coleman, and Lucas James Coleman, 5 great grandchildren, Katie Lynn Hatfield, Brady Allen Hatfield, Colton Alexander Stacey, Austin Jonan Stacey, and Willow Loralii Stacey.  Also surviving is a host of special friends.

In honoring Tim’s wishes, cremation will take place.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Wiliamson, WV with Rev. Dale Carey officiating.
