Timothy Edgar McCoy

Timothy "Timmy" Edgar McCoy, 59, of Newport News, VA formerly of Williamson and Sprigg, West Virignia passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020.  Born September 25, 1961 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of Donald R. McCoy of Sprigg, WV and the late Lois J. (Goble) McCoy.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Madena Rose Mccoy, and his two children, Taylor Justin McCoy and Hayleigh Shalayne McCoy, his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Tilda McCoy, and his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Blanddene Goble.

Timmy was a 1979 graduate of Williamson High School.  Following graduation he attended the WV Institute of Technology where he obtained his degree in electrical engineering.  He went to work at the shipyard in Newport News building ships, and where he most of his work was on the Enterprise Ship CBS 65.  He worked for 35 years until his health required him to retire.

Those left to cherish his memories include his father, Donald R. McCoy of Sprigg, WV, a brother, Bryan T. McCoy of Sprigg, WV, a sister, Sonya (Sean) Adkins of Hopewell, VA, and a great host of other family and friends.

He was lovingly placed to rest with his beloved family in Glasgow, WV.
