Walter Vinson Jr.

Walter Vinson Jr., 89, of Hatfield, KY passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at his home.  Born January 6, 1935 at Nolan, WV, he was the son of the late Walter Vinson Sr. and the late Ada Hensley Vinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael William Vinson, a brother, Charles Vinson, and a sister, Marcella Taylor. 

Walter was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA, and a member of the Nolan Street Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Druzella Vinson of Hatfield, KY, one son, Michael (Tina) Vinson of Hatfield, KY, one brother, Carl Richard (Shelby) Vinson of Florida, and a host of friends. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. Earl White and Bro. John Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home with services at 7:00 pm.
