Wanda Curry

Wanda Curry, 79, of Turkey Creek, KY passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home. Born July 3, 1940 at Lobato, WV, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Eva Porter Marcum.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Christine Sanders, her beloved baby brother, Edward Charles Marcum, brothers, Willie Marcum Jr., Dickie Marcum, Lonnie Marcum, Tony Marcum, and Jackie Marcum, and a sister, Lillian Messer.

Wanda was a dedicated homemaker. In addition to being a wonderful mother to her children, she was a mother to all the neighborhood children. She was of the Freewill Baptist
faith.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Michael) Maynard of Williamson, WV, Debbie (Steve) Picklesimer of Sebring, FL, Sandy (Roger) Mullins of Pikeville, KY, Trena (Sidy) Mounts of Tornado, WV, Christina (Anthony) Pattison of Cape Coral, FL, and a host of former neighborhood children, her brothers and sisters, Ernie Marcum of Logan, WV, Billy Marcum of Cleveland, TN, Dollie Belcher of Phelps, KY, Marie Walden of Smithville, TN, Juanita Norwood of Chattanooga, TN, Lorraine Marcum, Rex Marcum, Avery Marcum, Dewey Marcum, Chris Marcum, Effie Cochran, and Victoria Faison all of Williamson, WV, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home with services at 7:00 pm.
