William "Billy" Browning

William “Billy” Browning, 57, of Thacker, WV passed away suddenly Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Freeburn, KY.  Born April 1, 1964 at Thacker, WV, he was the son of Nadine Matthews Cook Browning Snell of Thacker, WV and the late Clyde William Browning.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Randy Browning.

Billy had a heart of gold and was always looking after and trying to help others in any way he could.  He was a former custodian for the Mingo County Board of Education.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nadine and Jimmy Snell of Thacker, WV, a brother, Ronald Browning of Illinois, special nephews, Anthony Browning and Tyler Gooslin, a special niece, Allison Browning, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Bible Way Church at Thacker, WV with Pastor Ricky Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Varney Cemetery at Lynn, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Wednesday evening at the Bible Way Church with special services nightly at 7:00 pm.
